Recently my family's life has been all about adjustments because our life is constantly changing! Not that it's bad don't get me wrong because I know that Heavenly Father puts change in our lives in order for us to grow. Probably the biggest change that has happened recently was Daniel becoming Elder Frost. Being the youngest and having lots of older brothers and sisters I have had many experiences with the MTC drop off.
I remember when it was my first time and my family was dropping off Allen. I honestly was heart broken because two years sounded like eternity. I remember wondering who was going to joke around with me and tickle me until I literally would pee my pants.
Then it came to be McKay's turn and again my heart broke because I wondered who would take me to the movies to watch Nancy Drew. Both of these brothers' drop off I was able to joyfully enter into the MTC and sing the nice songs and really get the goodbye I feel like I need.
However, when it came to Amanda's drop off the swine flu epidemic swept the country and along with it took the nice songed drop off. It was switched to the "curb-side" drop off. This time I really didn't have time to think about all of the amazing times I had with Amanda because the next thing I knew elders were taking her and her luggage away from me. So the car ride home was filled with tears as I wondered who would share a room and late night games/talks with me.
Most recent was Daniel's drop off. Even though the swine flu isn't as big of a deal the church saw that the curb-side drop off was so efficient that they decided to keep it in place. So again the ride home was a little rough as I considered my life without his clothes advice and car ride talks.
My mother thinks I am some what dramatic so reading this entry you may agree with her but it was and is honestly how I feel. But like I said in the beginning, it is all part of God's plan for me and my family. So right now my family and I are adjusting to having Daniel on a mission.
An upcoming adjustment happens on May 4th. AMANDA comes home from her mission! I am so excited to see her and really connect with her in person again:) I know that he Lord rewards us for being able to adjust. Having missionaries come home for me is the reward for letting them leave.
-Becca
P.S. I should be posting on my fashion blog either tonight or tomorrow so come check it out:) http://becscloset.blogspot.com/

Updates Continued...

Alright, Daniel is still workin' at the sizz earning big bucks! kenneth is "doing better" as always and his doctor wants him to eat more fish, so thats what we had for dinner tonight! Cheer Camp!!!!

Ok so this story starts off on a low note because I found out that because of the school switch for next year, we can't have cheer tryouts until the second week of school which I think is August 30th. Yupp another time delayed! To bring it down another notch...I have EFY the same week as cheer camp that all of the Flag High girls are going to so I can't go! This is what disappointed me the most because I really want the skills that everyone else will have for tryouts in August. However, Mom said to check BYU camps to see if they still have space available. Guess what...they do! So I am going August 9th-11th to the BYU Cheer and Stunt Camp. I am so excited! They will teach all levels of stunting and have Cheer techniques but best of all they will have TUMBLING! It should be a blast!

2. EFY!
This Sunday I am driving up to Provo with Mom, Dad, and Summer Townsend for EFY! I have never been to Provo's EFY but I have heard it is one of the best ones to go to, so I am pretty stoked! I need the uplift that this camp brings and I am so excited to meet new people! Lastly but not at all least...Summer and I are going to be rooming together, so we are bringing lots of snacks and decorations for our room! I LOVE EFY!

3. Massage Envy :)

For Christmas this past year I asked for a massage and today I used the gift card! It was one of the best things I have felt in a long time! I received a full body deep tissue massage that blew my mind! Will be asking for another one for my birthday!

Videos...

Ok so I have this really fun video I want to post of Daniel and Trevor however, when I tried I just uploaded it straight from the camera itself. The try-outs were supposed to be this week however due to Signagua closing it was pushed back so that girls could decide if they wanted to go to Flag or Coco. This is the third time it has been delayed and my nerves get worse every week! I am so ready to just get them over with! So the try-out dates now are the 28th-30th of June.
Requirements (At least the ones I know of):

A sideline Cheer

Regular Cheer

2 Jumps

Tumbling

Dance

Flexibility

Yes you have to learn all of these in the matter of the dates listed above. I have been working on my jumps and I think I am going to do a toe-touch and a pike jump. I think I will do fine on those. Tumbling...I have been doing for a while now and I can do a back hand spring however sometimes its not that consistent so that is the part I am most nervous for. The thing is I can't just choose not to do it because it is required if I want to make varsity cheer so I have to just throw it. I really hope I don't kill myself. As for the dance...I am trying to find the hidden genes of dancing that just have to be in the blood line somewhere. Yup wish me luck. Flexibility is what I am looking forward to the most because I can actually do it! Haha I am going to do my two side splits. Thank you for reading this and letting me stand on my soap box for a couple minutes. I am just hoping that my nerves will help me with like an adrenaline rush :)

Starting Now

I was honestly trying to fill whoever reads this in with everything that has happened this past year...which was when I stopped blogging however, each time I was about finished with this post I happened to press a wrong button or click the wrong thing ending with the elimination of each of the three tries of this post. So, I am just going to start from today and if you feel I need to fill you in on something just let me know as we go along.

Wildfires...some of you may have heard from the news or other sources that there have been some close calls concerning wildfires in Flagstaff. If you haven't, I will fill you in! Yesterday around 1:30 PM a man from California let some coals go unchecked from his camp fire which turned into a huge forest hire which was behind Little America Hotel. This one was called the Hardy Fire. No buildings were hurt or people but a couple of neighborhoods were evacuated and some were put on stand-by. This fire has yet to be contained.

At 11:00 AM today another fire was reported near Schultz Pass. A thousand homes have already been evacuated from neighborhoods west of Highway 89 like Timberline and Wupatki trail neighborhoods. Neighborhoods on the east side of this highway are on stand-by to be evacuated. No one knows how this one has been started however what really matters is the safety of everyone near the fires including the fire fighters so please keep these things in your prayers. Schultz Pass fire:

If you look at the last picture you can see the peaks in order to compare the size of the smoke with something you know. The worst part is that this is from our house and you can still see the smoke growing.

Well now that I have set such a happy mood...HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! I know that I am especially grateful for my dad today; I love him so much and I know that so many others do as well. I hope each of you has a great day!

Snow Day!

Today it's a snow day! We run at six which usually means that I get up at 5:50 to get ready. Usually when I get down there at six he is waiting for me. But this morning I woke up and went down stairs and he was asleep so I thought that he wasn't going to go today; so then I just had to go upstairs and go back to sleep...darn! Then I guess ten minutes later my dad comes up and sees that I am asleep so then he decides that I don't want to go running today. He then goes back to sleep and we both end up not going running. Wow I guess we were both really anxious to go running!

Update

So also on this blog are going to be Dan's basketball updates! So here it goes!
Flag High-Coconino
The game was intense throughout the whole thing! We lead the first quarter and from then on it was neck n' neck! We then went into overtime (yes I know CRAZY!) With 17 seconds left we were up by two and the ball got fumbled around so people dove for it, resulting in a jump ball; and of course it went to coco. Flag High then called a time out. Coco had the ball with 13 seconds left, they took it down the court and coco tried for a three but missed and of course you can guess that they got the rebound. The guy put it back up and made it. Now listen, this was the stupidest moment I have ever seen! We were up by two when Coco got the ball and after the guy tried to shoot the three he moved in past the tree point line and shot it and made it but the ref thought it was a three so they got three points and won the game. It was the stupidest call I have ever seen, and I have watched my brothers play forever. Anyways, I hope you all have a good day tomorrow!

Sedona

Today we went down to Sedona for a day trip. I still can't believe the view you get from just driving from Flagstaff, it is Amazing!
The way down:

The first thing we did was go to a barbeque grill, it was great.

After we were done we wanted to walk around and see some of the shops and find a place to eat dessert. It turned out great! It was the biggest snowman I have ever seen! We used cups for buttons and eyes; blanket for a scarf, bowl for a mouth, and carrots for the nose and hair. It was 10-12 ft tall and very wide.
