Yes I know it has been a while but I figure it's better late than never! Recently my family's life has been all about adjustments because our life is constantly changing! Not that it's bad don't get me wrong because I know that Heavenly Father puts change in our lives in order for us to grow. Probably the biggest change that has happened recently was Daniel becoming Elder Frost. Being the youngest and having lots of older brothers and sisters I have had many experiences with the MTC drop off.
I remember when it was my first time and my family was dropping off Allen. I honestly was heart broken because two years sounded like eternity. I remember wondering who was going to joke around with me and tickle me until I literally would pee my pants.
Then it came to be McKay's turn and again my heart broke because I wondered who would take me to the movies to watch Nancy Drew. Both of these brothers' drop off I was able to joyfully enter into the MTC and sing the nice songs and really get the goodbye I feel like I need.
However, when it came to Amanda's drop off the swine flu epidemic swept the country and along with it took the nice songed drop off. It was switched to the "curb-side" drop off. This time I really didn't have time to think about all of the amazing times I had with Amanda because the next thing I knew elders were taking her and her luggage away from me. So the car ride home was filled with tears as I wondered who would share a room and late night games/talks with me.
Most recent was Daniel's drop off. Even though the swine flu isn't as big of a deal the church saw that the curb-side drop off was so efficient that they decided to keep it in place. So again the ride home was a little rough as I considered my life without his clothes advice and car ride talks.
My mother thinks I am some what dramatic so reading this entry you may agree with her but it was and is honestly how I feel. But like I said in the beginning, it is all part of God's plan for me and my family. So right now my family and I are adjusting to having Daniel on a mission.
An upcoming adjustment happens on May 4th. AMANDA comes home from her mission! I am so excited to see her and really connect with her in person again:) I know that he Lord rewards us for being able to adjust. Having missionaries come home for me is the reward for letting them leave.
