Snow Day!

Today it's a snow day! We have gotten more than a foot with in a day and a night; with more to come! For a while it was just a straight blizzard! The pictures don't give the storm justice but here they are:
Since Daniel took the car to Jake's all day, mom and I were stuck home cooking! Darn!P.S. If anyone has a Blondie recipe then you should give it to me!

Update

No big changes with us here in Flagstaff, um should I go person by person?...

Dad (SP): Still constantly busy with both church and work, ready for another Rim to Rim hike...I think that I will be sick on that day

Mom (Mother Bear): Busy also, started making pillows for living room, and has started thinking about plans for a little girls quilt :)

Kenneth (Serpientos Oso): looks skinnier everyday, enjoys feeding Dan's basketball team, has a new team that he likes...its somewhere in California (Ask him).

Daniel (D-Man): birthday a couple days ago the big 17, plays coco tonight, has won his last two games (If I am wrong I apologize ahead of time), dads partner for the hike.

Me (Okie Okie): Can't move because of pre-season track, cheer next year?:)

WOW

So this is a funny thing that happened this morning...Dad and I have started running together in the mornings so that I can get in shape for track and so that he can get in shape for tax season. We run at six which usually means that I get up at 5:50 to get ready. Usually when I get down there at six he is waiting for me. But this morning I woke up and went down stairs and he was asleep so I thought that he wasn't going to go today; so then I just had to go upstairs and go back to sleep...darn! Then I guess ten minutes later my dad comes up and sees that I am asleep so then he decides that I don't want to go running today. He then goes back to sleep and we both end up not going running. Wow I guess we were both really anxious to go running!

Update

So also on this blog are going to be Dan's basketball updates! So here it goes!
Flag High-Coconino
The game was intense throughout the whole thing! We lead the first quarter and from then on it was neck n' neck! We then went into overtime (yes I know CRAZY!) With 17 seconds left we were up by two and the ball got fumbled around so people dove for it, resulting in a jump ball; and of course it went to coco. Flag High then called a time out. Coco had the ball with 13 seconds left, they took it down the court and coco tried for a three but missed and of course you can guess that they got the rebound. The guy put it back up and made it. Now listen, this was the stupidest moment I have ever seen! We were up by two when Coco got the ball and after the guy tried to shoot the three he moved in past the tree point line and shot it and made it but the ref thought it was a three so they got three points and won the game. It was the stupidest call I have ever seen, and I have watched my brothers play forever. Anyways, I hope you all have a good day tomorrow!

Sedona

Today we went down to Sedona for a day trip. If you would have heard the conversation last night you would have known that this decision was well thought out! It turned out to be a really relaxing and fun family trip. I still can't believe the view you get from just driving from Flagstaff, it is Amazing!
The way down:

The first thing we did was go to a barbeque grill, it was great.

After we were done we wanted to walk around and see some of the shops and find a place to eat dessert. I don't know if any of you have heard of the White Horse (Black Cow), it is a Homemade Ice Cream place, it is Great! There is also a fudge place that is amazing! We went to both places! YES!

Melting

Over Christmas break all of our family came home and one night we wanted to build a snowman, so we built one at 10:00 at night. It turned out great! It was the biggest snowman I have ever seen! We used cups for buttons and eyes; blanket for a scarf, bowl for a mouth, and carrots for the nose and hair. It was 10-12 ft tall and very wide. Let's just say we had to get on a ladder to reach the top.

After everyone left, the sun came out and started slowly melting it. The carrots turned green, and all of the cups and bowls fell off. Today I took a picture of it and it looks pretty sad. You can definitely tell which side the sun hits!

P.S. Daniel came up with the name. Dan will write sometimes but I (Becca) will do it most of the time!
